Taj Mahal
6 AM: We reached Agra Fort station from Jodhpur by the Jodhpur-Howrah Suparfast (12308). From there we took an auto to go to the Agra Cantt. station where we kept our luggage at the cloak room. From there we took another auto to go to the Taj.
There is a cloak room to keep your bags (its not free). Visitors are not allowed to take bags within the Taj premises. Camera are allowed.
7 AM: We entered the Taj (there is a entry ticket of Rs. 20/head) through the western gate after security check. There were lot of school students on that day.
Taj Entry Gate
|
It was a December morning, full of fog and chilled wind. Even the main entrance gate was not properly visible.
When we entered the Taj premises through this gate, we could not see the Taj from a distance.
Going closer to this historical monument slowly started revealing its beauty. Visitors need to keep their footwear before entering the Taj building.
There are beautiful architectures around the Taj building. Each of has its own historical significance.
One should have a close look at the design on the walls of the Taj to experience the precision of the artists at that time.
When we were coming back, we finally got good view of Taj.
It was a memorable experience. After that we were heading towards another historical monument, The Agra Fort (Lal Killa).
